David Platt’s new book, Radical, is a New York Times Bestseller, and is creating quite a splash. I just posted some thoughts about the book over at Desperation and Destiny.  Here is a brief excerpt from what I had to say . . .

I just finished reading David Platt’s new book, Radical. It was a gentle, yet scorching reprimand of those churches and those Christians who have allowed their Gospel to be hijacked by the American Dream. At no point in this book does David pummel you with the truth; he is not some long-winded literary pugilist. Instead, David acts more like a surgeon; deftly cutting away the cancerous  justifications that are slowly killing the church. If you are a man, a woman, or a child that struggles to reconcile what you see in most American churches with what you read in the Word of God, then this book is for you.

So, check out the blog, and then buy the book.
